A Flexible Homeschool App recently reached out to me inquiring to see if I would be interested in reviewing their online Homeschool planner. It is designed by a homeschool dad with the creative thoughts and input of a homeschool mom (his wife).
I love supporting homeschool families anyway that I can, so I said yes!
I personally use a paper homeschool planner that I make myself but after looking through this one I honestly see the appeal.
- A place for each child
- Divided by terms
- Record what was actually done, when, and how long it took
- A space for each subject
- Works on your laptop and mobile devices

From the start I found that A Flexible Homeschool App is so user friendly. It is compatible on any device but since I’m always on the go I have tried it frequently from my phone. I honestly like the convenience of it. Being able to pull it out, edit or make updates to our schedule whenever I have a few moments.
Previously, I would do the upcoming weeks planning on Saturday nights. My husband must have thought that was too lame and has since designated Saturday’s our official date night.
I now do most of my planning throughout the day. With spring and nice weather finally here, I take my children 5 minutes around the corner to our local nature preserve almost everyday. My kids spend hours outside observing nature and making discoveries. This is their time, I just sit back and let them explore, keeping a watchful eye.
Sometimes I’m in it with them, answering questions, if nature doesn’t provide one. Other times, I read a book or exercise. Scheduling our lessons is something I need to do but fail to get done because we are often outside. I’ve tried bringing my paper planner with us but it’s big and bulky-adding one more thing to bring. Plus, if it gets wet or muddy, it is irreplaceable.
Having A Flexible Homeschool App on my phone makes it easier to take my schedule along with me so my planning actually gets done. Our lessons are stored in the App so no concern with them being damaged.

Customizable plans for each subject.
One of the things that I cherish in our homeschool is the freedom to progress through a subject at the child’s pace. If we need to spend more time on math then we do until comprehension and understanding is met. A Flexible Homeschool App works so that you can schedule lessons and progress through them at your child’s pace.
This is what I like best about using A Flexible Homeschool App.
You can attach any resource that is to be used for that days schedule. These are the available options:
- Online Links
- Adding an application
I created three, twelve week terms and each subject has an option to schedule it weekly, every day, or however many times you want that week. We generally get three All About Reading lessons done each week, the flexible homeschool app made it simple to schedule it that way.
I can always edit this if she goes slower or faster in any subject area.
A Flexible Homeschool App tracks the progress you’re making in your planned lessons. Yet, it isn’t sending you annoying notifications alarming you to the fact that something isn’t done by a certain time. It is simply tracking your progress so you can stay aware of where you are at in your planned schedule.
A Flexible Homeschool App even does all of your record keeping. Now I live in a low regulation state so technically I don’t need to keep record. However, if anyone should ever come knocking, proof of completed work recorded this thoroughly will be more than enough.
What do you think about using an online planner? It is convenient, works at your child’s pace, and you can attach any resource you plan to use in each subject schedule.
Don’t forget, if you’re on the fence, you can try it for free for up to 2 months. Use coupon code “holistic” at check out.
